HOORAY BEER!

I know it has been quite a bit since the last post.  It seems that a 9-5 really limits my shop time.  But over the last couple weeks, I have been working on a bit of a fun project.  Several years ago, I bought a 1984 Moto Guzzi V65C with the expectation of trying to do a little custom job with.  As it turned out, the motor was toast.  Most likely, someone ran it dry of oil.  With parts being scarce and WAY TOO expensive, it has sat on a shelf in a thousand pieces.

Some of the build pictures:

I finally gathered up the gumption to do something with the motor since its such a great looking engine.  After going back and forth between a side table and a beer keg, I finally settled on a beer keg, and it was absolutely the right decision.  It was a huge hit at the Memorial Day cookout we had yesterday.  I grabbed a Session IPA from Trapezium Brewing in Petersburg, VA.  It was a perfect choice for some smoked ribs and smoked turkey.

After finishing this one, I, with the help of my wife, am setting up an Etsy Store page to build these and other parts for people.

As for the details of this particular build:
1985 Moto Guzzi V65C
Stock Carbs with machined brass carb caps and manifold connector.
Beer tap handle – Camshaft
Beer tap handle – Brazed transmission gears
2 Beer Faucets with a Y-connector
